K-2 Westside Connection Basketball League

We are proud to announce that we are now offering an opportunity for our kindergarten through second grade students to join in the basketball fun! A new 6 week fall program allows us to introduce elementary students to new opportunities.

This program is only available to kids who attend a West High Feeder school.   Those schools include Riverside, Loess Hills, Liberty, Perry Creek and Irving.

2022 Season Information

  • Registration for grades K-2nd will begin 5/1/22 
  • Registration fee will be $30, and we will only conduct online registrations this year.
  • *Please register your player for the grade they will be entering for the 22/23 school year.*
  • Registration will include a jersey top which will need to be returned at the end of each game.
  • Players will receive a t-shirt for participating.
  • We will take the first 80 players to sign up**
  • Rosters will consist of 5 players**
  • Rosters will be co-ed**
  • Players will be placed on teams based on grade and school**
  • Game Days will consist of 20 minutes of Fundamentals followed by a game with 2 10 minute halves.
  • No scores will be kept
  • Coaches will officiate games

Looking for Committee Members

*We are currently looking to fill Basketball Committee seats.*

Public Relations- Promotes the basketball program via things like Social Media.  Along with scheduling things like picture day, assist with back to school night, etc.

Secretary- Take minutes at Committee Meetings,  draft information that will go on the website, check out equipment, etc.

Safety Officer-  Oversee all coaching requirements along with ensuring all decisions of the program are made with the players physical, emotional and mental well being in mind.  

Fundraising-  Help coordinator and oversee program fundraisers along with the program gear order. 

Girls Parent- Offer parent insight into decisions made by the committee.  They will review communications to ensure the message is parent friendly.  They will also communicate with other parents for feedback.
